(Note from the Editor) These poems form a story, a true one at that,
however, I have published them in alphabetical order (apart from a few new ones.)
(By the way - they are not by me and not to me either!)
A Loving Kiss
Oh what bliss, to share the sensure of a loved one's kiss,
The thrill of the moment of your lover's mouth,
Settling gently in the blending touch,
Lips which urgently drink their fill,
Yet find a space to drink more still,
Greedily clinging in a rapturous thrill,
Which wraps the body in a passionate chill,
The pulsing blood, the surging brains,
The tangled nerves that call for pain,
Sweet pain that cool the aching limbs,
To cool the blood, and burn the brain,
The pressing bows a mite apart,
Seeks to relieve the demands of the heart,
The rosy lips that hypnotize,
The creamy skin, the sparkling eyes,
The eager expression and the panting breath,
All this is the bliss of a loved one's kiss.
A Poem Of Love
I love you for your thoughtfulness, your kindliness and care,
And it's because my love for you my life with you I'll share.
You mean so very much to me I need you more each day,
In times of sadness you appear and drive dull cares away,
Oh how I'm waiting for that day, when life will be sublime,
And you will hold me in your arms, your hand a touch with mine,
That's the day when I will know that you are here to stay,
The day that you are really mine through troubles come what may.
Behind Glass
I love you in your 'uncertain' look which shows you've seen my eyes.
and I love you as you kiss me into oblivion and daze me with your touch.
and when our bodies merge and when your warmth is mine.
I love you with our hands deep in our pockets, just incase we forget.
and I love you in the silence.
I love you in the open with salt spray and laughter.
and I love you in the morning with giggles and clatter.
and six o'clock nonsense,
and peering through windows,
and saying hello fondly as we step over milk,
and leaning round corners dodging men with binoculars,
and smiling in mirrors,
and turning away,
I love you and your smile,
and I take your smile with me into the rest of my life.
Believe Me
It grieves me so to see you worried and sad,
I love to see you carefree and glad,
A nasty word or thought of you won't be had.
Please my love believe what I say to you,
I shall not toy with your love and affections,
I will love you as one loves life,
Nothing I shall do, be contrived,
But are my heart's true reflections.
I shall prove my love, should you desire,
This I can do and grant your wishes,
Showing that I am no liar.
I have loved before in the days gone by, now I am wiser.
You for the rest of my life I desire.
I would give everything for thee should you wish it,
The truth is, I would give my life for you,
For you already have my heart and soul,
Please do not doubt it.
My love for you shall be forever.
Tears of sadness in your eyes, I shall see never.
So my true love, be happy and full of joy.
As I for always be your girl, and you my lover-boy.
